Morganza High School was built in 1940.  It housed grades 1-12 until it closed in the 1970's.  Although the gym has been restored and is in great condition, the school house itself is unused and deteriorating.  The Morganza Cultural District is currently working with the Pointe Coupee School Board to lease the building so that restoration efforts can begin.
