Easy Rider 50th Anniversary

Join us as we celebrate an iconic film that was filmed in Morganza!  The famous cafe scene was filmed in our very own Melancon's Cafe.  The celebration will include a meet and greet with the local actors, souvenirs, food, music, a car and bike show, a guided ride to the spot where Captain America was shot, and an incredible Easy Rider memorabilia exhibit.  Please contact TheMorganzaProject@gmail.com or 225-202-6601 if your group is interested in coming or for more information about the custom bike competition, Show & Shine, festival king and queen contest or anything else about the festival.

KSU! Ready-to-Ride! How’s about joining the pack of back road warriors who will ride off on a guided tour of 3 locations featured in the iconic film, “Easy Rider.” Join us at the old Morganza High School for our upcoming Easy Rider 50th Anniversary Festival on September 28th. Meet at Morganza High School 9:00 am, Blessing of the Bikes 9:15 am, KSU 9:30 am.  Please spread the word!  And please RSVP on this page if you plan to be a part of the guided ride!
